This week we have another Zoom Communion service. James leads the service whilst Chris is away and Paul has the reading.
Andy also brings a short reflection based around his thoughts on the last few entries in our Psalm 119 series.
We continue with our series in Psalm 119 and this week Chris looks at verses 41 to 48, given the Hebrew subtitle “Vau” or “Waw” (depending on your translation). Would you like to know God’s love more fully? Would you like to experience a greater freedom in your spiritual walk? Then keep watching or listening!
Ant leads the rest of the service, with an update on our mission of the month AiM, and Mike chooses this week’s worship time.
We return to our series in Psalm 119, verses 33 to 40, represented by the Hebrew letter “He”. Chris looks at how we should stick with God’s good work right until the very end.
Susan leads the rest of the service with a reminder about change and transformation and Emily provides the reading. Pete chooses this week’s music.
This week we held our monthly live communion service over Zoom. Joining us was EBA regional minister, Beth Powney, who spoke on Isaiah 55 and brought to us her thoughts about the sovereignty of God and remembering to trust in Him even when we’re not sure what the outcome will be.
Lynne leads the rest of the service, with prayers from Pete and Sue brings parts of her response to Chris’s Psalm 119 challenge from a few weeks ago.
We return to our series in Psalm 119 this week, and Chris looks at the fourth letter of the Hebrew alphabet “Daleth”. When faced with troubles, how can God help us rebuild our lives?
Karen leads the rest of the service and music this week was chosen by Mike.
Christ is risen! He is risen indeed, hallelujah! Once again we are facing Easter under lockdown and are unable to meet in person to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. But we can still celebrate together. This year Chris looks at the period of time between Jesus’ crucifixion and his resurrection through the eyes of those that witnessed it first hand and asks whether we are living in despair or living in hope for things to come.
Andy leads the rest of the service with Easter worship chosen by Pete.
For Palm Sunday this year, we invite a (virtual!) visiting speaker. Beth Powney, EBA Regional Minister, brings us her take on the Triumphal Entry as a liberation march and asks whether we are willing to join that march today.
Elsewhere in the service, Chris leads us in prayers whilst Peter Crosbie brings the reading and Mike chooses the worship music.
A recording of a live Zoom communion service held on the morning of 21st March 2021.
James leads communion this month with musical contributions from Pete and a reflection led by Susan.
This week we continue our journey through Psalm 119, with the third letter of the Hebrew alphabet, “gimel”. Chris looks at our need for God’s word and how we there is humility and strength in admitting our weeknesses.
Susan leads the rest of the service, with prayers and reflection for Mother’s Day. Mike has chosen this week’s worship music.
This week we continue our look at Psalm 119 with the second stanza based around the Hebrew letter “beth”. Chris looks at how we should and can take time to be holy in our lives.
Lynne leads the rest of the service with contributions from Shona and Vanessa, whilst Pete chooses this week’s worship music.
