It is after much prayer and reflection and with deep regret that we have taken the decision to suspend Sunday Services. This has been a heart breaking balance between a longing to keep meeting together to worship God and a desire to do all we can to protect the older and more vulnerable members of the congregation. In the light of Government advice The Baptist Union have stated that “Sunday services should not now take place…”.
We have also taken the decision to suspend or postpone indefinitely all planned events and all our meetings. We recognise that this very distressing for those who have put much effort into planning and preparing but we believe it is the right thing to do at this time. We will keep the situation under review and we are looking to put in place new ways to keep in touch and to provide much needed spiritual encouragement at this time. Our aim is to keep the church focused and together in unity and purpose.
Please bear with us as we seek to find new ways of being church at this time. Please pray for those who are without work, those who are working at home, those who are working hard out in the community from health care workers to shelf-stackers.
We are endeavouring to upload a video and/or audio service, sermon or reflection to our usual sermons podcast pages each Sunday that we are unable to meet. Click this link or the link in the menu above to view our sermon pages. All are invited to join our Facebook Page and for those connected to the church you can join our Facebook Group (Burwell Baptist Congregation).
We are continually reviewing the situation and this page will be updated with the latest information as and when we get it.
