In a world that suddenly seems a lot different to the one that we’re used to, this week we have a very different kind of service. The outbreak of coronavirus and the drastic measures we have all now had to take to slow down it’s spread seem to have taken us all completely by surprise and underprepared. But were we?
In the first of what we’re all praying is a very short series of video services Chris looks at what God has been teaching us as a church over the past year and how we can use all that we have heard to help us deal with the new situations we find ourselves in. We also have prayers from Susan and reflective poetry read by Barry.
To help it feel more like a proper service, Lynne has put together a playlist of songs that you can listen to after the message and reflect on how God is prompting you to respond. Find the YouTube playlist in the paragraph below the video.
Every believer is qualified to be a servant of the new covenant. Chris reminds us what that covenant is and how we can each serve.
Chris explores the themes of remembering and assembling in Esther chapter 9 and applies them to our own call to remember and assemble.
How should we respond to worry? Edited highlights of our all age service!

He restores our souls.
In Esther chapter 7 we see God continuing to work through seeming coincidence to bring a divine reversal. God bring this about through Esther as she recognises her royal position may have been given to her for a reason. Chris sees the links with Holy Week and applies the a new testament perspective as we recognise that we were born for such a time as this.
As a follow up to our away-day with Ken Benjamin, we watch and discuss two further videos and Chris and others bring us feedback on what had been discussed on the away-day itself.
This All Age service was led by James Webb and Chris Johnson. It was an interactive service so we didn’t have a sermon but we do have the passages and some questions for you to reflect on with a brief summary of the key points. How can you tell if someone else is angry? When…
Our year text is a call to live a life worthy of the Lord and please Him by bearing fruit and growing the knowledge of God but it is also a prophetic blessing over us to enable us to do those things.
This Sunday we joined with the other churches of Burwell for our annual Unity Service. Methodist minister Rev. Colin Watkins speaks about Paul and Luke’s shipwreck on Malta and how different denominations can work together in unity to further God’s Kingdom.
