Sermons from August 2026

Starting With God: A Rose by any Other Name

Names are important. They can convey so much more meaning than simply what the word literally means. So what can we learn from God’s name revealed to Moses: I Am Who I Am? Chris speaks on how through speaking His name God reveals part of his nature to us.

Lynne leads the service this week as we celebrate another dedication whilst Pete and Nick lead our sung worship.

Rivers in the Desert

In our August all age service Chris (standing in for Peter) looks at the opening verses of Psalm 1 and explains how we need to be deeply rooted in the Spirit, like a tree planted near streams of water, to truly flourish in our relationship with God and allow Him to work through us.

Pete and Nick lead our sung worship this week.

AsiaLink 2026

Jim Gourlay from AsiaLink visits us to give an update on their work, particularly the work in Uzbekistan where he has recently visited. Jim also speaks on the anointing of Jesus and how that story will be told wherever believers gather for generations to come. Many people in Asia have yet to hear that story and the wider good news of Jesus.

Lorraine leads the rest of the service with an encouragement to trust God even when you cannot see what is ahead and Pete and Nick lead our sung worship.
