Stand By Me (Part One): Ahmad’s Story

Stand By Me is a charity that we as a church have supported for many years. This Sunday we were priveliged to have Ahmad Ayoubi, Director of Stand By Me joining us to share his story and bring us news on the projects that the charity is currently involved with.

In this first part, Ahmad shares his story of growing up in war-torn Lebanon and how his journey with God eventually let him to the UK to work for Stand By Me.

God and Coincidence

When Abraham’s servant was sent to find a wife for Isaac he had no idea what amazing things were about to happen. Coincidences are everywhere in our lives, but how often do we stop and think what God might have to do with them? And once we recognise God’s work how often are those events not actually coincidences at all?

Less is More

Jane Batten from Tearfund visits us, telling us the story of Ruth in Nigeria and how Tearfund partners are able to empower communities to lift themselves out of poverty.

What do you see?

Over the summer we have planned a series around five questions God asked. Questions which God asks each of us today. You may have lots of questions for God but it may be a surprise to hear the questions which God asks. Here is the third question: What do you see?
