Growing in the Dark

As Chris is away this week we have Kevin Burdett bringing God’s word to us and he speaks on the Kingdom of God growing in the dark. Just like the seeds that a farmer plants in the ground sometimes it may appear that nothing is happening, however what we fail to see is what is…

Living Water

Following on from our amazing Anniversary Community Day yesterday Ant leads our all age service for May by taking us back to the Sunday Schools of his youth. There’s even a sword drill or two! But there is also a serious point: by looking back into our own church history we can see God’s stream of living water giving nourishment and we can have no doubt that he will continue to do so through us for many years to come.

Pete and Nick lead our sung worship this week.

Starting With God: The Cross

In first century Judea a cross was not generally something talked about in polite conversation, let alone boasted about. Yet through Jesus’ victory Paul says that he (and by extension we) can boast in the achievement of the cross. As we continue our starting with God series Chris examines Jesus’ victory, the turning of a symbol of terror and oppression into a symbol of hope and how we can still see God’s glory through the cross.

Karen leads the rest of the service as we have our first update from May’s mission of the month, AIM, and Pete and Nick lead our sung worship.
