The Temple of the Living God

The Lord is building a dwelling place for Himself.  In Jesus Christ He has laid the foundation stone – all the fullness of God in bodily form.  By the Spirit He dwells in each believer and now through the exercise of the gifts of the Spirit He sets about the work of build a temple of living stones.  Will we join the building by eagerly desiring the Spirit’s gifts and using them to build up the body?

Made Alive in Christ

Today we dig into grace – what does it mean to be saved by grace? Just what has God done for us in Christ and why? How should we respond? We discover that our life in the Spirit begins with the gift of new life itself.

Sealed by The Spirit

Today we being our new series looking at the Life of the Spirit from Paul’s letter to the Christians in Ephesus.  Chris opens the series by exploring what it means to be sealed by the Spirit. Our life in the Spirit is first of all a life where we are chosen and marked out to be God’s people, His possession, His letter and under his protection.  We are adopted into His family, given an inheritance of redemption and forgiveness.  We have the deposit now and the promise of full inheritance when Jesus is revealed and He returns to redeem those in His possession.

Meals with Jesus: Don’t get Disconnected

How can we find assurance of eternal life? How can wealth be a hinderance? How does God make the impossible possible through Jesus? Does your faith touch your wallet as well as your heart? Chris explores how our security, acceptance and significance are rooted in grace and yet we are encouraged to invest for eternal returns.

Meals with Jesus: I hear you knocking

What do we need to do to find the security, acceptance and significance we need? In this talk Chris highlights Jesus’ teaching that our hunger is rightly met through the gift of the Spirit. Our Heavenly Father is not reluctant to give Holy Spirit yet Jesus clearly teaches that we can not receive Him or His gifts if we do not persist in asking, seeking and knocking, recognising our desperate need of Him.

Meals with Jesus: Multiply

Whilst our need for security, acceptance and significance are fully met through our relationship with Christ our experience of these can vary. In the light of John 6: 1-11 Chris seeks to show how we can experience these in greater measure through trusting, receiving and obeying. In response he challenges us to offer the little we have to God, receive His gifts and get involved in His miracle.a
