Sermons by Andrew Dalwood

Harvest 2024

This week we held our Harvest service for 2024. Andrew Dalwood speaks about Jesus meeting the Samaritan woman at the well and how God uses the most unlikely people to bring in his harvest.

Ant leads the rest of the service showing off his suprisingly in-depth knowledge of UK crop yields over the last year and Pete leads our sung worship.

Prayer

Andrew Dalwood looks at David’s prayer in Psalm 26 and asks whether this would meet Jesus’ model for humility and repentence in prayer explained in Luke 18. Are we like David, too self-righteous in our prayers, too confident in our own abilities and forgetting where that righteousness truly comes from?

James leads the rest of the service, focussing on prayer for our country as the Coronation of Charles III is just around the corner, whilst Mike leads our sung worship.

Acts 2 – How to be Baptised

In this week’s service Andrew Dalwood deputises whilst Chris is still away and continues our series in Acts 2 by looking at the act of Baptism in the light of that passage.
Ant leads the rest of the service with contributions from Andy and Ricky and Vanessa who have chosen the music.

Salt and Light

This service is available in both video and audio format.
Chris is taking a week off preaching this week, and so Andrew Dalwood picks up the series on the Sermon on the Mount, looking at being salt and light in our current situation.
Anthony leads us through the rest of the service, with contributions from Chris (we couldn’t keep him away…) and Andy. Pete R and Ant have both chosen music to help us worship this week.
