Peter currently serves as a deacon and church secretary. He was born in Leicester and after graduating from Leicester College of Art spent over 30 years teaching in rural Lincolnshire. He became a Christian at the age of 35 and trained as a Methodist Local Preacher. After the death of his first wife he moved to Lode in 1999 when he married Ann. He became a member and then an elder of Lode Baptist Chapel, later known as Renew. He was Lay Pastor during two pastoral vacancies and has preached regularly. Aside from church he enjoys reading, water-colour painting, bird watching and nature photography.
