Easter Trail – Friday 27th March – Parable of the Good Samaritan – Luke 10:30-35

In this parable or story, Jesus teaches us to love our neighbour and told this story to show who our neighbour is.

A man went on a long journey through dangerous places.

Whilst he was walking, he was attacked and robbed.

He could not get up and felt very ill.

A priest walked by and saw the man, but did not go to help him because he was going to the Temple.

Another man walked past who was a Levite, but he did not want to help either.

Then a Samaritan man walked past and took pity on the man.

He bound his wounds.

He placed him on his donkey, and looked after him.

Using his own money, he paid for a room, a doctor and some food.

Jesus loves everyone and asks us to show love and mercy where we can, especially to people in need.
