Easter 2021

Christ is risen! He is risen indeed, hallelujah! Once again we are facing Easter under lockdown and are unable to meet in person to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. But we can still celebrate together. This year Chris looks at the period of time between Jesus’ crucifixion and his resurrection through the eyes of those that witnessed it first hand and asks whether we are living in despair or living in hope for things to come.

We Need God’s Word!

This week we continue our journey through Psalm 119, with the third letter of the Hebrew alphabet, “gimel”. Chris looks at our need for God’s word and how we there is humility and strength in admitting our weeknesses.
Susan leads the rest of the service, with prayers and reflection for Mother’s Day. Mike has chosen this week’s worship music.

Take time to be Holy

This week we continue our look at Psalm 119 with the second stanza based around the Hebrew letter “beth”. Chris looks at how we should and can take time to be holy in our lives.

Blessed and Blameless

This week Chris looks at the first stanza of Psalm 119, denoted by the Hebrew letter Aleph, and asks us what it means to be blessed and blameless. Can we really achieve this?

Psalm 119 Life from A to Z

This week we begin a new series in Pslam 119, Life from A to Z. Chris starts the series by explaining the background to the Psalm and introduces some of the themes we will be exploring over the next few weeks.

Year Text 2021

This week we have our Vision Service for 2021. This is traditionally a service where our year text is revealed to the congregation via another wonderful banner that Kath has designed, but this year you will have to use your imaginations. In this year’s service Chris expands on our year text for 2021 and looks forward to how God will use us as a church through the new year.
Karen leads the rest of the service, bringing us an update from CSW, our Mission of the Month for January. Mike chooses the music.

Thanksgiving Service 2020

This Sunday we held our Thanksgiving service for 2020 via Zoom. In our final service for this strangest of years, we look back at what God has done in our personal lives and through the church in 2020, despite what some might call some “slight problems” of the COVID nature.Chris leads us through a brief study of 1 Corinthians 10:16-17 and Karen leads the service by joining everything together.
