Visiting Speaker from Tear Fund Jane Batten
Jane is an active member of St Philips Church Cambridge and works for the University of Cambridge as an Operations Manager. She has led prayers on Sunday mornings, spoken in support of the Cambridge Churches Homeless Project and the Cornerstone Café, and given presentations on many occasions at work. In 2010 she travelled to India which inspired her to study international development. In her own words “I am inspired by Tearfund’s way of working with local partners and churches in countries to alleviate poverty. As my faith has grown over the years my desire to serve the Lord in this way has filled me with passion and compassion to help where I can”
